The Scriptures and Tradition

Catholicism

Catholics rely on both the Bible (Scriptures) and Sacred Tradition for their beliefs and practices. The Bible is seen as God’s inspired word, while Tradition includes teachings handed down through the centuries. The Magisterium, or teaching authority of the Church (including the Pope and bishops), interprets these sources to help guide the faithful in understanding God’s will.
