Saint of the Day: December 17, 2024
St. Olympias, a wealthy woman who lived in 4th-century Constantinople, chose a life of service and dedication to God. She used her wealth to help the poor and the marginalized, founding hospitals and orphanages and supporting those who were persecuted for their faith.
A Heart for the Needy:
Olympias’s compassion knew no bounds. She gave generously to those in need, providing food, shelter, and care for the sick and the vulnerable. Her life is a reminder that true wealth lies not in material possessions but in our willingness to share what we have with others.
Standing Up for the Truth:
Olympias was also a woman of courage. She stood up for what she believed in, even when it meant facing opposition from powerful figures. She defended those who were persecuted for their faith and refused to compromise her own beliefs.
A Legacy of Service and Faith:
St. Olympias’s story is an inspiration to all who seek to live a life of purpose and meaning. She reminds us that faith requires action, that compassion knows no bounds, and that true strength lies in serving others.
May God bless you as you share His love, and may His love guide you in every step you take.
Amen.
